About The Course

– Our Surf Course includes: Pick up service from your hotel to the surf spot & back, mineral water, complimentary surf photos, storage of your personal belongings, shower, changing rooms & toilet facilities, use of surf equipment & accessories.

– For beginner lesson: Runs all year round. Depending on the wave conditions, we will teach our Surf Courses at Hon Chong Beach or Bai Dai Beach.

– For Surfers: Hon Chong Beach is an excellent surf spot with many surf spots on the same beach. The season starts at the beginning of October, towards the end of the surf season in March.

(40min drive) It is an excellent beach break with a sandy bottom, gentle waves, and waist-deep waters. It works best when the swell is below 1m.

10-minute drive from Nha Trang city centre! Great for all levels with a mix of beach and reef breaks. Features two types of surf breaks:

1. Beach Break: Closer to shore, perfect for beginners. Sandy bottom.
2. Reef Break: Further out, offers Three Surf Spots:

  • The A-Frame Middle Peak: Most consistent wave. Right is mellower, left steeper.
  • Right Peak South Corner: Long right-hand waves ideal for longboarders. Mid to high tides.
  • Race Track Peak North Corner: Intermediate to advanced. Long fast right-hand over reef ledge.

Standards & Guidelines +
Our school offers ISA-certified instructors and applies innovative, effective surf teaching following ISA standards.

For Beginners lesson runs all year round: Depending on the wave conditions, we will teach at Hon Chong Beach or Bai Dai Beach. Suitable for anyone who has never surfed before or has only a little experience.

For intermediate surfers who wish to work on their surf skills, we offer a Private Intermediate Surf Course. You are an intermediate surfer if you can catch waves without assistance and comfortably traverse across an unbroken wave in both directions.
Surf Class Lesson Plan +
Our 3-hour Lesson Plan starts with 15 minutes of Beginners’ Surf Theory. Thereafter, we start practising in the water with instructors (45 minutes), followed by a 15-minute Water Break. After that, the 2nd Surf (45 minutes). Once completed, the students have an additional 60 minutes to surf independently without instructor assistance.
Facilities, Prep & Payment +
FACILITIES: Shower Rooms, Changing Rooms, Toilets, Shaded Rest Area, Rash Vests + Surf Pants.

WHAT TO BRING: Dry Change of Clothes, SUNSCREEN, Swimsuit / Surf Shorts, Towel, Extra water & snacks.

HOW TO PREPARE: Remove all jewellery, spectacles/sunglasses and headgear. Do not bring valuables.

PAYMENT: Cash in USD or VND at the start of the lesson, or bank transfer in advance. No credit cards.
Learning Curve & Photos +
We teach in waist-deep shallow waters so you don’t even need to know how to swim. Your first-ever surf class will start with theory, paddling technique, standing up, and handling the board.

Our photographer goes every morning to shoot the last surf session. We provide photo reviews of your surfing to analyse and advise on technique.

FAQ

Is transportation included? +
Yes, if your hotel is in Nha Trang city centre within 0.5 km radius from Intercontinental Hotel. Outside this area, transfer is subject to a surcharge (e.g. Amiana Resort is +$10).
Is all equipment included? +
Yes, all surf equipment, plus complimentary rash vests, a small bottle of water, and a snack are provided.
Is the time of the course flexible? +
No. The time is decided by the instructors based on the day’s tide and wave conditions to ensure maximum safety.
Can I use the board after the lesson? +
Yes, it can be rented for an additional charge once the lesson is finished.
Can a friend come along in the transport? +
Yes, subject to an additional transport charge of US$15 per person for non-surfing friends & family members.
Cancellation & Refund Policy? +
We do not provide refunds if you stop halfway or cancel without 48 hours notice. Cancellations on the due date and no-shows are charged 100%. Weather changes prior to the lesson will be rescheduled or refunded. If weather changes during the lesson, no refund is provided.
